From Zong 5G to Z HomeFi to Zong Home Broadband, DigiKhi has your home internet covered.
No fiber on your street means no real home internet. Your phone hotspot drains data fast and drops in the middle of video calls. Waiting for a technician is slow, and some streets never get a line. At this point, a wired fix is out of reach for many renters. Zong 5G now offers a different path: a router that Zong calls plug-and-play. Here is what it costs and who should skip it.

What Did Zong 5G Launch for Home Internet?
Zong now reaches homes as well as phones. On October 8, 2026, Zong launched Z HomeFi. Above all, Zong says it needs no fiber or fixed-line work. Zong calls it Pakistan’s first 5G fixed wireless home broadband service. For now, you can buy it only at Zong customer service centers.
Zong’s marketing head, Sajid Munir, said the service brings 5G directly into Pakistani homes. Many news sites repeated Zong’s press release on October 8 and 9. As a matter of fact, most of them skipped the price table and the city list. This guide fills those gaps using Zong’s own product page. We checked that page on October 9, 2026.
How Does Fixed Wireless Access Bring 5G to Your Home?
Fixed wireless access, or FWA, sends broadband over radio signals instead of cables. Ericsson defines it as a wireless connection that brings broadband to a specific location. In other words, a router with a SIM card links to a nearby tower. It works like a phone hotspot that stays in one place.
Zong sells an indoor 5G router, which it labels customer premises equipment (CPE). It supports Wi-Fi 6 on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Additionally, it has one Gigabit Ethernet port and a nano-SIM slot. It handles up to 64 users on a single band. Zong backs it with a two-year warranty.
Z HomeFi Plans and Prices in Pakistan
Zong lists twelve prepaid plans on its product page. Each plan lasts 30 days. Because prices include 19.5% GST and 15% advance income tax, the listed price is final. Speeds show as up-to limits so that real speeds can run lower.
| Speed (up to) | Speed (up to) | 250 GB | 500 GB |
| 10 Mbps | Rs 4,500 | Rs 5,500 | Rs 7,500 |
| 20 Mbps | Rs 5,500 | Rs 6,500 | Rs 8,500 |
| 30 Mbps | Rs 6,000 | Rs 7,500 | Rs 10,000 |
| 50 Mbps | Rs 7,500 | Rs 9,000 | Rs 11,000 |
We divided each price by its data limit to compare value. The 10 Mbps plan with 500 GB costs the least, at Rs 15 per GB. On the other hand, the 50 Mbps, 100 GB plan costs the most. It runs Rs 75 per GB. The entry plan costs Rs 45 per GB. These figures come from our own math.

Your first month costs more than the plan price. The router adds Rs 22,000, and you pay it upfront with your first bundle. As a result, day-one costs run from Rs 26,500 to Rs 33,000. Zong says the router price includes tax.
What Happens When Your Data Runs Out?
Zong sends usage alerts at 50%, 80%, and 100% of your data. Internet stops right away at 100% until you recharge or add a bundle. Hence, check your balance often. Dial *6969#, open the My Zong app, or ask the Zong call center.
Zong Home Broadband Setup: How to Order in Five Steps?
Zong Home Broadband costs about the same as some fiber plans, with less speed. In September 2026, MyMobile listed PTCL Flash Fiber at 100 Mbps for Rs 9,449 with tax. Furthermore, it listed StormFiber at 115 Mbps for Rs 7,399 before tax. It listed Nayatel at 100 Mbps for Rs 7,200 before tax. Zong’s four 4G device plans run from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,300.
| Option | Speed and data | Monthly price | Tax in price | |||
| Zong router, entry plan | Up to 10 Mbps, 100 GB | Rs 4,500 | Yes | |||
| Zong router, top plan | Up to 50 Mbps, 500 GB | Rs 11,000 | Yes | |||
| Zong 4G device plan | 200 GB, speed unknown | Rs 3,000 | Unclear | |||
| PTCL Flash Fiber | 100 Mbps | Rs 9,449 | Yes | |||
| StormFiber | 115 Mbps | Rs 7,399 | No | |||
| Nayatel Home Unlimited | 100 Mbps | Rs 7,200 | No |
Tax status changes the math, so compare like with like. Add tax to any fiber price that excludes it. After all, Zong’s prices already include all taxes. Prices also vary by city, so call each provider before you decide.
Our view: buy this service when fiber is not an option. Fiber gives about twice the speed at a similar price. In short, Zong offers easy setup, while fiber offers better value. Heavy streamers and gamers should test coverage first.
Who Should Buy and Who Should Skip?
Buy if
- Your street has no fiber line.
- You rent and want no wiring work.
- You use less than 250 GB a month.
Skip if
- You need unlimited data.
- You stream in high quality all day with a big family.
- You plan to move homes soon.
- Zong’s coverage list does not include your address.
Common 5G Questions from Pakistani Users
Where Can I Find Customer Support Contacts for 5G-Related Queries in Pakistan?
Zong users can call 310 from a Zong number at any hour. A call that reaches an agent costs Rs 2 plus tax. Conversely, callers on other networks dial (051) 111-222-111 at standard charges. You can also text help to 310 for free.
Zong also runs an online complaint form and the My Zong app. Particularly for 5G area checks, Zong’s FAQ page points users to the app. The page lists no separate 5G helpline.
Jazz customers can dial 111 on prepaid or 777 on postpaid. The SIMOSA app also takes queries, and Jazz says it answers within 12 hours. Finally, if your operator fails, contact the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Its website is pta.gov.pk. Keep your complaint number for follow-up.
Where Can I Find Official Websites to Compare 5G Plans from Top Pakistani Carriers?
We could not find a neutral site that lists every carrier’s 5G plans. Zong posts its home plans at zong.com.pk/devices/z-homefi. Jazz posts offers and contacts at jazz.com.pk, and Ufone uses ufone.com. Equally, check PTA’s 5G page for coverage maps. A Pakistan Era report says it shows maps and phone lists for Jazz and Zong. That page listed Ufone as coming soon on September 26, 2026.
What are The Available Data Plans for Fast Mobile Internet from a Leading Local Provider?
Zong offers two kinds of 5G-ready data. Phone users keep their current 4G bundles, and Zong says they work on 5G. In general, home users pick one of the twelve router plans above. Zong also lists four 4G device plans, priced from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,300. Read each plan’s time rules first.
How Can I Check 5G Data Packages Offered by Leading Telecom Companies in Pakistan?
Open your operator’s app or website and find the data bundle section. Zong’s My Zong app lists 5G areas, and its product page lists home plans. Subsequently, confirm the price, data limit, and validity before you pay. For home plans, Zong shows remaining data through *6969#, the app, or its call center.
Which Telecom Companies Provide the Fastest 5G Internet in Major Pakistani Cities?
We found no public report that ranks 5G speeds city by city—OpenSignal collected data for PTA’s second-quarter 2026 benchmark over 90 days. Evidently, the published report gave no 5G speed figures. PTA cautioned that 5G deployment is still at an early stage.
The same report named a 4G leader. Zong recorded the fastest national 4G download at 18.55 Mbps. Comparatively, Jazz recorded 17.61 Mbps, Ufone 12.82 Mbps, and Telenor 7.5 Mbps. Pakistan Era reported a separate PTA city survey. It found Jazz fastest in 9 of 11 cities.
Zong ran a pre-launch trial in Islamabad that topped 1.4 Gbps, ProPakistani reported. That figure is a peak. Daily speeds run lower. To clarify, the home plans cap speed at 50 Mbps. Wait for independent tests before you trust any 5G speed claim.
What is The Current Status of Ultra-Fast Cellular Service Deployment in Major Pakistani Cities?
PTA sold 480 MHz of the 597 MHz it offered in its March 10, 2026 auction. Jazz and Zong launched commercial 5G on March 19. Presently, Ufone has not launched. A Pakistan Era report from September 27 says so.
Zong’s coverage map page showed 760 active 5G sites on October 9, 2026. ProPakistani counted 142 Zong sites in June. Altogether, the jump suggests fast growth. The two counts come from different sources, so do not read too much into the jump.
What are the Coverage Areas for 5G Networks from Major Pakistani Telecom Providers?
Coverage differs by provider and by neighborhood. On the whole, Zong says it started in major cities and high-demand urban areas. ProPakistani warns that not every area inside a listed city has 5G. The table below shows the lists we found.
| Provider | Cities listed | Source and date |
| Zong (phones) | Abbottabad, Attock, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhelum, Karachi, Kohat, Lahore, Mardan, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Swabi | ProPakistani, June 17, 2026 |
| Jazz | Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Sahiwal | ProPakistani, June 17, 2026 |
| Ufone | No 5G city list published | Pakistan Era, September 27, 2026 |
| Zong (home router plans) | Abbottabad, Attock, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhelum, Karachi, Kasur, Kohat, Lahore, Mardan, Multan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Sukkur, Topi | Zong product page, October 9, 2026 |
Launch news said the service covers the top 10 cities. Zong’s product page lists 20 cities. Nevertheless, your address determines your eligibility. Zong lists a service center in Quetta, yet Quetta is not among the 20 cities.
Do You Need a New SIM for Zong 5G?
Zong 5G needs no new SIM, according to Zong’s FAQ. You need a 5G phone and the 5G or Auto setting under Preferred Network Type. Further, your phone drops to 4G outside 5G areas. The home router differs. It uses a prepaid data SIM, which Zong may link to your number.
Conclusion: Is Zong’s Home 5G Right for You?
Zong’s new home plan brings 5G to places that fiber has not reached. The router costs Rs 22,000, and plans run from Rs 4,500 to Rs 11,000. All in all, the service fits renters and fiber-less streets better than heavy users. Ask Zong to confirm coverage at your address first.
